Spanish financing opportunities

 

                                                  Master Studies

 

Fundación La Caixa

It is direct to students with Spanish nationality who had already finished their bachelor degree or were going to finish it by June. 

Students who want to perform TCCM Master studies will be able to apply for a different modality of scholarship depending on the country where they would like to study: 

  • In Spain 

    Deadline: 5th March,2012- CLOSED

A change on University from the one where you got your degree and on the Autonomic Region is mandatory. The scholarship will cover the tuition fees, a monthly payment of 1300 euro and an unique payment of 1000 euro for initial travel and installation expenses.

  • In Europe

    Deadline: 6th February,2012 - CLOSED

Students should enroll in a University affiliated inside the EEES program. The scholarship will cover the tuition fees, a monthly payment , an unique payment of 1100 euro for  installation expenses, medical insurance.

 

Fundación Caja Madrid 

  • Grants for postgraduate studies

Call is Closed!! (deadline: 31st January 2012),the rules for applications on the can be checked here.

They are destine for students with Spanish nationalitiy who have already finished their bachelor degree or will finish it by June 2012. They should enroll in a postgraduate program in a European University (not Spanish), for the course 2012-2013. Chemistry and Physics are among the fields of interest.

Grants cover registration fees, insurance, initial accomodation and travel expenses and a monthly payment, for a maximum period of 12 months.

 

Spanish Ministry of Education

There are several programs. The details can be checked at the web pages provided below:

  • Loans for postgraduate studies

Call is Closed: 31st February 2012 (CANCELED), the rules for applications can be checked here.

They are destined for students who have spent at least the four previous years in Spain, and had already finished their bachelor degree or will finish it by June. They should enroll in a postgraduate program in a European University, in EEUU or Canada, for the course 2011-2012.

  • Grants for graduates to cover tuirion fees and other costs.

Call is closed. The rules for applications to 2012-2013 edition can be checked here.

They are directed to  graduates who are registered in a Master program. This grant cover the tuition fees of the Master program and other costs.
 

Asociación para la Promoción de la Química Teórica y Computacional (APQTC)

The "Asosiación para la Promoción de la Química Teórica y Computacional, APQTC" offers grants directed to support the mobility of Master students.

  • 2011 MOBILITY GRANTS

2011 Call: Deadline is on 15th of December 2011, the rules for applications can be checked here.

They are directed to support the mobility of Master students. Students should be following master studies in the area of Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling at the time of submitting their applications, and demonstrate that an international mobility is required in their study program. Applicants should send a CV together with the documents that support the above mentioned requirements to secretaria@apqtc.es before the above mentioned deadline.

 

AECID

  • Scholarships to foreign students

The mission of this scholarships, is the improvement the skills of the students in order to prepare them to follow a research career. Theequirements r are the following:

·            Having a Bachelor degree certificate before starting the Master program

·            Having a preadmission to the program

 

Amount:

·            If your studies will be in Madrid 600 per month plus accommodation in one of the residences with agreement with the AECID (Residence Africa and Residence Guadalupe).

·            If your studies will be out of Madrid 1200per month

·            Help allowance of 2000€ to pay the tuition fees

Foundation Mutua Madrileña

Deadline: 23th April,2012 - CLOSED

  • Scholarships to follow a master program outside Spain

These scholarships are oriented to students who want to follow a master program, outside Spain, related with your previous studies.

Requirements

·             Be the child of a partner. Your parents have to be partner of the foundation since (at least) 20 years

·             Having a bachelor degree certificate

·            The obtaining of your degree cannot be previous than 5 years

·            Knowledge of the language of the country where you want to go

Fundación Ramón Areces

  •  Grants for post-docs

Call is Open!!. It is directed to students with Spanish nationalitiy, having obtained their PhD between 2008 and 2012. They should have developed their post-doc in a University or research centre abroad, along 2012-2013. Chemistry and Physics were among the fields granted.

 Fundación Ibercaja 

  • Grants for postgraduate research activities

Call is now closed (deadine was on March 31st, 2011) but the rules for applications on the 2011-2012 call can be checked here.

They were destined for students with Spanish nationalitiy who have already finished their bachelor degree or will finish it by June 2011. They should enroll in a research project in a European University (not Spanish), for the course 2011-2012. Applied Technologies are among the fields of interest.

Grants did not cover registration fees, and were thougth for research projects to be developed in a maximum period of 12 months. The total ammount of the grant was 20000 euro, including travel expenses.

 

  • Grants for post-docs

Call is now closed (deadine was on March 21st, 2011) but the rules for applications on the 2011-2012 call can be checked here.

They were destined for students with Spanish nationalitiy who have already finished their doctorate studies. They should have enrolled in a research project in a European University or Research Centre (not Spanish), for the course 2011-2012. Applied technologies are among the fields of interest.

Grants were thougth for research proyects to be developed in a maximum period of 12 months. The total ammount of the grant was 30000 euro, including travel expenses.
