The Doctorate will typically extend for three years, but in some special circumstances this period could be extended, after previous approval by the International Committee.
The Doctoral candidate should register in one of the Universities of the Consortium (Institution A) for the whole duration of the Doctorate and in a second University of the Consortium (hereafter Institution B) of a country different from that of Institution A.
The main mobility of the doctoral candidates will be organized as follows:
- A minimum of 12 months of research activity shall be spent in Institution B. This minimum period could be split in shorter periods of three or six months, not necessarily consecutive.
- The rest of the time, up to the completion of the JDP, will be carried out in Institution A, (apart from the mandatory participation in courses, workshops and congresses), unless there is an associated partner involved in the research project.
- The Core Course implies an additional mobility for most of the doctoral candidates, i.e., for all the candidates registered in any partner different from the one which organizes the Core Course in that particular edition of the JDP
- All doctoral candidates and their supervisors and co-supervisors, should participate mandatorily in the annual two-day workshops, which will be organized in different countries of the consortium, on a rotating basis.
- Mainly in the last two years of the Doctorate, but not necessarily excluding the first year, the doctoral candidate shall participate in at least two International Congress or Symposium in the field of TCCM, by presenting a communication as a poster or as an oral (if accepted as such).
